FL_Projekt
$5500 obo -Marvin Shaw shocks all around -Front and rear aluminum wheels -Sand Squirt Extreme paddles -Front wheels are spindle mount -A-arm front suspension -New disc brakes -Cutting brakes -Lazer Star headlamps -CNC hydraulic clutch -CNC adjustable peddles -External oil cooler and filter -Close ratio transmission -Brand new 1776 motor (only 1 trip on it for tuning) -Working tach and oil pressure gauge -Dual Dellortos -Brand new starter -Very well balanced buggy that handles great on the sand -Chromed spun fuel cell -Oil breather -Electric fuel pump Im sure I probably missed some stuff the good: I along with my buddy who was all about VWs spent a solid year after I originally purchased the buggy working all the bugs out of it with finally ended up with me just having him get me another complete motor, the original 2180 that was in it just was always a little off in one way or another. The new motor even at a smaller displacement is worlds beyond than the old one. The new motor has one trip to Dumont on it for tuning and that was it so it is a fresh motor. the bad: The carbs need to be rejetted as the last motor that was on it was a 2180 prior to the swap. It still runs great, it's getting a little more fuel than it should at lower RPMs. Possibly idle volume screw and idle jet adjustment/replacement. I just don't know enough about the Dellortos to do it myself (and the fact that I dont run the buggy much anymore), oh and my "mechanic" moved away shortly after the engine swap! Boooooo I also have a trailer that goes with it but I dont have pictures of it here Im in Pahrump, cell: 845-629-2230 leave a msg if I don't pick up Edited March 12, 2012 by FL_Projekt
