dunefreak
Lake trips? Dune trips up north? What's everyone up to? I plan on doing a handful of local dual sport rides, but have a couple multi-day rides up to Utah in mind. Other than that, there will be the usual summer lake trips, hopefully one or more to Havasu too. If funds and timing work out, I really would love to get back up to Coral Pink one of these days. It's been about 5 years since we've been up there.
ltr450rider
My plans are to quit working, stop taking showers, and start wearing sandles. Get a dog and hang around downtown Santa Barbara asking people for money. Maybe hitchhike to San Francisco and spend a week sleeping in Golden Gate Park. I don't know, I haven't really put it all on paper yet.

Vegas FX400
Steve, Duck Creek is fun...Haven't been up there for YEARS....but last time, the rangers were on the fence about quads and SXS's fitting through the gates. Each Ranger was different...some said that if it fit through (54") that it's good, some said Not At All...but not all trails there had gates. There's alot of trails up there. Best camping (dry camping) is off of Mammoth Creek Road....plenty of access to trails and old loggin roads.
sandawg
As I mentioned before my summer will be spent in Idaho at the St Anthony dunes. I'll be helping out at IDRV. I'm pretty welll loaded and ready to go. Leaving on the 14th, next week and plan a slow trip up and arrive the next day.. I'll be working in the store some, cooking up Breakfast Burittos on the weekend mornings, doing some repairs when needed and just being the dune guy. The manager isn't a duner so we'll compliment each others skills. Dumont will be represented since Sand Crab and Sand Flea are working at the BLM campground just down the road. they always camp by BR 10 and live in Pahrump. Hope all enjoy their summer as I know I will........No Nevada summer heat for me. Come on up and say HI! https://www.idahodunesrv.com/index.php
lvnalolife
Steve, you should look into Marysvale instead of Duck Creek. Hundreds of miles of trails. We are planning a trip up there for Labor Day weekend. For the rest of the summer a bunch of Lake trips, maybe one down to Havasu. Pete, how bout we squeeze in some sunrise runs out at dumont? Vegas FX400
I agree with JJ on that ...Marysvale is fuggin AWSOME!!!!! Also up there, if ya want to just flatbed it, you can rent little cabins and stuff like that. Place is great. Our longest ride up there was for 9-10 hrs, around 140 miles. desertrider71
i want to do a lot of trail riding this summer. never been to duck creek but would like to tag along with someone who has. parker, coral pink, and i have my summer dune tour planned for August starting with Dunefest in oregon and hitting a few of the other dune areas. then Pismo for huckfest for a week. Like you never been to Duck Creek but I have reservations at pinewoods resort for the memorial day weekend. From what I have seen the trails are all marked and you can ride in the outlying towns to fuel up so if your looking to go get a reservation and come up. I have heard great things about the area and I can't wait to go.

sand chick
I have a busy busy summer myself. Hoping that makes it go by faster, itching to get that new ride out in some fresh familiar dunes, see how much I like it or not.. My first major trip of the summer is right around the corner, Havasupai Falls in June.. Strapping about 35lbs on and backpacking in 12 miles and totally off grid for 4 fabulous days of hiking and exploring at what is called the most beautiful falls in the US! Then 12 miles back out... All in all I will put in over 40 miles in 4 days, on foot. Hopefully July 3 - 7 at Coral, can't believe that will be the first trip of the year and probably the only one. Sedona camping/hiking trip planned for September. And hiking, kayaking, or pontoon boat trips almost every weekend in between, maybe squeeze in a car camp up Mt. Charleston. Maybe I'll even stay home one weekend? Keeping my eye on my groups and hoping for another backpacking over night trip..
nwtdiesel
Huckfest sounds fun! I would be down for a St Anthony trip and Coral Pink. I really like Sand Hollow even thought the dunes are small. No real solid plans yet, i do want to go to Colorado around July to go jeeping up in Silverton and Ouray. Last summer we spent alot of days by the pool at Red Rock casino and that was fun. This year im sure we will go to the new water park a bunch. We always try to hit the ocean in Newport a couple times and just about every year we end the summer with a trip to Disney Land for the kids. andydew
Planning on taking the boat up to mead a few times for sure. Might tag along with some friends to the river. Wanting to check out some new spots with the boat, but paranoid after our last river run, tagging both SS props in a sand rock bar. Might just get started on a new kitchen I've been promising my wife for 10 years...
