mineurbiz
I usually don't load videos to Youtube, but I loaded a test one from my GoPro Black which looked good on my computer but lacked the same quality on Youtube.
flavtfan
I think there is an option on there to make it a little better quality. Did you try vimeo? I think it also has to do with what you're uploading it as...youtube may only be able to produce 1080p or 720p quality. I think the black is 1440p. It's been a while since I've uploaded one, Adam can probably chime in on this one, he's good with all that editing kind of stuff. I only have a Hero 2 but they come out decent quality and it seems like it's sped up sometimes or something.
Adam @ GTP Off Road
youtube dumbs down the videos when you upload them. Some accounts, the big guys, seem to get good quality, but most don't. I only record in 720p, and upload an MP4 720p file to youtube, but they never look as good as they do on my computer. The HERO 3s will do 1080p, but even the black isn't "great" quality HD, but it is pretty damn good. Youtube always tells me to "adjust your quicktime setting for better results." I don't render the videos as a quicktime file though, i use the MP4 HD settings, which aren't that great to. I was going to try rendering a Coral pink 4th video as a quicktime file and see if it helped. I think Youtube video quality has gotten worse really. There are tons of formats to render a video in and they all have advantages, my PS3 will play the MP4, and my computer seems to play them well so that's why i use it. dunefreak
You tube kills the quality! Nothing beats watching them on your big screen in your living room.
mineurbiz
The quality of the 3 looks pretty dang good and such a shame when you put it on youtube and it kills the quality! LOL
