Adam @ GTP Off Road
I tried to pump from the fuel station today and it was a no-go. Stated the gen to make sure there was enough juice even though the batteries were at 12.6. went back to check and the emergency switch was HOT, and not working, and the wires were pretty hot. Fuse still intact. Tapped, and hit the pump with no luck. Turned things on and off a few times, still nothing. I never pulled the cover to check the gears, so I did that. Released pressure, turned on, still nothing, pulled the cover and the bottom gear, still nothing. I was able to spin the motor gear by hand, and was never able to get the motor to run. I did a search for the motor and couldn't really find a good lead on one. Anyone know where to get one, at a good price?
SAND~~SNAKE
Search the forum, there is a quick easy fix and no replacement required. Mark posed it I think, It involves removal of the side cover and making some clearances due to gear swelling. VERY easy to do.
ynot
Otherwise I saw some pump handles at the "Cal farms" store on Jones & 95. Interesting store pretty much has about everything.
Adam @ GTP Off Road
this is not the gears, I pulled the cover off as described in my initial post, and could hand spin the gear, but the motor would not actually spin. This is a case of the motor not working. Hoping someone has replaced one and has an idea for motor replacement. The Company that makes this motor was bought out and I found limited info, and no pricing for a direct replacement. Not sure if a $50 ebay replacement would serve my purpose. The "good" pump, or what looked to be, was $220, that I'd rather not spend on this hauler that I plan to get rid of after next season.
