nwtdiesel
I wanted to share this with all DDR members. Insurance coverage on a rail or sxs is super important and there is a local company here in vegas who can insure your off road rig no hassles and good price. Pete turned me onto these guys and so far they have been great. Im even moving all my autos, trailers, home, life and business coverage over to them right now. Just for a example I insured my 2008 RFR Sand Rail LS1 motor for $28,000 full coverage for $585 a year. It would roughly be $55 a month with payments but I opted to do the half up front and will pay the other half in 6 Mos. JVZ
Just FYI, they don't issue stated value policies, so the value you give them is just a basis and not what you would get in case of stolen or total loss. I use them as well and am in process of switching insurance over to my new sandcar. I asked for additional insurance on my new car and they said they couldn't. Just a heads up, in case you ever have a claim.
SAND~~SNAKE
Does anyone know if they require periodic appraisals to substantiate the insured amount?

Mine is for 30K loss but 100/300k liability and I am at $800.00 per year Terry if you've had your policy for some time now, it's probably a different policy like mine. I asked Mike & Ron about mine because mine is $695/ yr for just $25k coverage. I thought I was getting screwed! lol They told me the type of policy I have is no longer offered and somehow has a different type coverage (more) than Newly's so it costs more. Yeah I called them today and am waiting for a call back from Mike. The guy I talked to seemed to think it was my liability amounts that made it more but I want to know the "official" answer from Mike. HelmetPigtails
Our insurance through AAA here in southern california is $785.00 a year. not sure on the actual policy but we have it at 25,000 replacement and the max on everything as we do all of our cars and trucks. they did require us to take the rail to them and they took all the photos as well. pretty expensive for 4 ride weekend a year but the knowing we are covered makes it worth it.
