VegasMavMax
Ive been to dumont before but this is the first time we are taking our new Maverick out. Does anyone know about laws for baby seats in side x sides? Im not looking for opinions on whether this is safe or not. Im asking IS IT LEGAL? Has anyone else had any issues? For sakes of saying I wont be going out on top of dunes with my son. Just back and forth to Comp at night and maybe a little stroll out to little Dumont. What should I expect? Thanks Justin
White Rhino
We have had baby seats in our rhino and sand car. I've talked to rangers and Sherriff's out there while my kids were in their seats and they never said anything. I used a 2" ratchet strap on mine to make it tighter than the seat beats could in my rhino. In sand car I have ones that work with my 5 point harnesses. Legal? Not sure but I never had an issue. DuNe~Rydher
Same thing as White Rhino, I take casual strolls through the dunes with my daughter who is almost 3 with her in a baby seat strapped in the back seat of a rhino with 4 point harness and 2" ratchet strap which makes it TIGHT. Talked to rangers as well they've never said a word. Been doing this since she was born. Back then she didn't have to have a helmet but with the new law they do. (everyone in a sxs does) so depending on your childs age/size it could be difficult for them to support a helmet. Have fun!
