dunefreak
I was extremely lucky this happened tonight at the car wash rather when we were towing our 15,000 lb trailer down Mt Potisi on the way out to Dumont. I was just driving out of the car wash like 2 mph and drove through a little dip and heard a loud clunk. The hitch must have barley bottomed and caught the pavement. It almost completely ripped off at the welds. It seems it was might have already been cracked because there are rust marks inside. The only thing holding it on was the top weld. Brice brought me down a hitch and I got it home safely. A couple years ago I upgraded my receiver and equalizer setup for safety reasons. I would have never thought this hitch piece would break! It's the only thing I didn't change. Time for a new one. Damn
