dunefreak
With summer here and nobody going out to Dumont much, let's keep this place alive! Share a little from your most recent trip, project, sand toy maintenance, or whatever it is you have been up to as of last weekend. Post as little or much as you'd like. Didn't do anything and laid on the couch all weekend? Post that! 😆 The whole point is to stay in touch as a community. The more we do that, the longer this site will stay up and online. 🤔 Last weekend some friends, including @bp-guy and I went kayaking, exploring and hiking in Black Canyon. The first four miles were epic. Then after lunch we had to paddle for 5 hours to get to Willow Beach where we were getting picked up! LOL That part sucked. haha
DirtBikeGuy
I have been prepping for a small back packing trip up to Little Lakes Valley in the Sierra's. Finally getting my gear out for some repairs and getting used to walking with a backpack again. Sitting in an office chair all day is rough ya know... But getting up into the mountains and doing some fishing and relaxing should do the trick!
dunefreak
Awesome. I love the Sierras! I can't wait to get back to Mammoth this summer.
bp-guy
My legs are still sunburned from this trip. It was a blast but all that paddling definitely sucked with the headwind. All the little places that we didn't know about but Chris took us was very cool. Tons of people probably cruise right by these locations not knowing what they are missing out on. I have my boat out now and we are prepping for a weekend on lake mead this summer!

VegasSparky
Hanging out in Marysvale, UT for the summer. Riding trails, and flying drones. My 15th season up there.
Svengoolie
We're leaving Friday for the Black Hills. 3000 miles of forest roads and trails. Plus the usual tourist traps. Back after the 4th of July. I'll post some trip pics.
Svengoolie
I forgot to add, when I get back I'll take my Jeep to Dumont. I'm curious about the cell tower.

IrnBear
Wifey and I did a Shakedown run to Lone Pine Cali to see if my new tow setup for the MH and Jeep would stay together Everything help up great. Had to make some brake cable adjustments on the Lone Pine side. Jeep pushed us all the way down the mtn grades through Death and Panamint Valleys One there, Stayed at Boulder Creek RV just outside Lone Pine. Took the jeep to 10,000ft and did some hiking. Next Day we did some Movie Site touring around the Alabama Hills... If you haven't done this, you should... You also need to stop at the Movie Museum in Lone Pine. And some Arch finding in the Alabama Hills and some cool rock stuff Well, thats what we did last weekend 😎 What did you do😜 IrnBear
dunefreak
Nice photos, Irnbear. I worked and took a few naps on the couch. 😆 Much less exciting that what you did. I've been to the area though. Awesome place there in Alabama Hills. I'll be a little north of it in a couple weeks ( Mammoth).
MxJunkie87
Well, my wife and I just finished up a trip to Las Vegas to finish up signing for our Condo! I’ve been looking for an excuse to move to Vegas for about a year, and my employer offered me a transfer to the Las Vegas office! We’re stoked to be closer to Dumont, as well as Glamis, OW, and Johnson Valley. We’re excited to have paddles on our bikes all winter, and get to know some of the local Dumont regulars. Here’s some pics from our MLK weekend trip.

Svengoolie
We went to South Dakota for a vacation. We brought our CanAms. When we got there we found out we could register them. So we got real license plates. There were only a little over twenty bucks each. That way we could use them on the road. We did the usual tourist stuff, like Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park etc. South Dakota is beautiful and the people are really friendly. We put about 1,500 miles on our machines. Imagine driving your side by side to Mount Rushmore!
