dunefreak
Like i said i plan on staying below 23' in a Mightylite, superlite, 1/2ton rated trailer... It will probably bee a 20-21'er though.. I will be fine.. everyone around me will be fine... i dont try to do 90 up and down potosi.. I have the same attitude as ash when towing... Ill get there when i get there the dunes aint going anywhere... so what if i cant cut 20min off my trip by gettin the trailer to do tricks.. LOL Trust me, you'll be doing tricks with that truck/trailer when towing no matter what size the toyhauler. You'll see. Just wait till you get on the Tecopa road where the dips are. I don't care how slow you go...your sh*t's gonna buck like crazy with SUV suspension. You can do it, but once you tow with a 3/4 ton or bigger...you'll never do it again w/ again! :redhat:
EY3BA11
I guess if mine tows like crap ill just have to outfit the wifes truck w/ the proper equiptment and tow with hers since its a truck it should do better right!!

Oh wait I forgot, the trailer is huge! :redhat: Hey Pete! if you can tow your old Baja with the 1/2 ton, I think he will be OK with a superlight 21' or smaller. You do have a good point, once you tow with a 3/4 ton or 1 ton, you will never go back to the 1/2 ton. Braking and handling are far superior. Nick, just be careful when you do finally get your trailer and just don't try to set any speed records or try to keep up with Pete as he likes to do mach 3 down the Tecopa road. Mr. Edgy
We had a 21" Wanderer Wagon. Towed it with a 1500 4wd Suburban. Seems like a good combination, right? Wrong!!! Very unstable. Needed sway away like a mofo. Even with torsion bars it wasn't pretty. I think it is an SUV thing.
Vegas FX400
must be an suv thing.....i tow a 23ft. WW with a F150 and it tows fine...yes i would love a 3/4 ton or a 1 ton.......but thats in the future.....

I wouldn't compare a Z71 w/ air bags to an SUV, but go ahead. I don't tow THAT fast. Hey if it's stable and tows like a dream...why not do 95? j/k In all reality I have taken it much easier the past few times to and from Dumont. No need to cause any more wear and tear on things. B) I hear that. I stopped worrying about getting there fast, I now worry about just getting there! J/K I just do the speed limit and get there when I get there now. He also said 21' (already shorter) Superlight ( which yours wasnt ) or smaller... I figure w/ a superlight im probably shaving off at least 2k lbs off that 23' tank built toyhauler you had.. duneshredder911
My family has towed our 21ft attitude with a 2 wheel drive 4.6 expedition and got the job done, did just as good as our f-150 with the same set up. But we have moved up to an excersion.

I'll hook you up with a family pack of Band-aids for your knuckles when you get back. You are gonna need them after 2 hrs of your white knuckles. :no_no:
