dunefreak
Just kidding. That's what @sandmandan said when he sent me this pic of a film crew on the finger dune on Wednesday. Pretty cool! Gonna try to go get more pics. It's still over there, but they're wrapping it up today.

desertrider71
I found one of the production companies hand held radios over there. Called the number on it. The guy said he will have the folks who had it checked out give me a call. If they dont get ahold of me he is going to charge them for it 🤑 Update: The film crew guy called. Sending it his way tomorrow Edited December 18, 2019 by desertrider71 Update
dunefreak
A cool backstory to this. View this post on Instagram Reposted from @lusogripcompany ✌🏻 We were shooting on location in the Dumont Dunes OHV Area. Our crew had spent the previous day and night hauling this plane up onto this large sand embankment and creating this incredible set. We arrived on location before first light and jumped right into it. It was about mid-morning when we heard a loud pulsating thunder shake the desert sand. We looked up to see two F-35 Lightning IIs buzz our set. We were still in state of awe when they doubled back over, circling around and tilting the plane inward to get a curious look. They leaned off the accelerator to get a morbid peak just as one would at a terrible roadside accident; then in flash, straightened out and were beyond our horizon in seconds... A short time later an ambulance pulls into our base camp concerned about an airplane accident. 😂😂😂 #lusogrip #film #filmla #filmset #setlife #onset #local80 #filmlife #keygrip #filmindustry #crewstories #dumontdunes #f35lightningii #losangeles #grip #gripping #f35 #onlocation #onlocationshoot #griplife #grips #gripset #behindthescenes #filmmaking #dennisgpires #planecrash #dumontduneriders A post shared by Dumont Dune Riders (@dumontduneriders) on Jan 9, 2020 at 5:49pm PST 2 3
