I put my tools in my trunk, But to keep them from KLANKING in your ear or possibly on your mellon, I wrap them in a camera lense wrap. This wrap is square with velcro at the corners. It's about 16" X 16". Wrap-em like a burrito. They are always tight to each other. Plus you can lay em out in the sand on the wrap. ( the tools ) I think it would work good in your tool bags too.
