GraywolfGraphics
Sat nov 11, I had a little of a freak accident. on the small dunes facing camp our rail caught a lip or something in the sand and rolled. Nobody seriously hurt but before i could even get unstrapped we were surrounded by riders checking on us who in turn rolled our rail back over and we enjoyed the rest of the day. Thanks for the concern fellow duners. DDR

dunefreak
Hi Mike...I didn't know you were on DDR when I was talking to you. I was gonna ask but was more concerned if you guys were ok. That wrist didn't look too good. I kinda figured you broke it. I have broken a few wrists in my day. I am glad nobody got seriously hurt. Here are a couple pics I snapped off. the hill you rolled on.... BTW, the other few peeps that came over were raptoroy and highoctane junkie in the 4 seater that rolled up just before me. I was in the little red car. I wonder if you rolled because of the strong gusts of wind coming off the top of the hill. Maybe it caught the underside of the roof and assisted in pushing it over. Just a thought. It was pretty windy that day.

GraywolfGraphics
Well the doc says no broken bones but ive never seen swelling so bad.I am getting a second opinion on Monday. Thanks again for the wind insight im still not sure what happened. That turn by no means was fast for that rail and Whispering Bob said it stood up on him earlier that day on the same hill. Somebody said they Ash saw it happen any insight there???? Also Bob is looking for another rail frame to build. That one was unhurt but he has the itch to build another with the supercharged 4.3 liter ford motor he has in a wrecked t-bird
dunefreak
Really, no broken bones? That wrist looked quite a bit swollen already when I showed up. I would def. get a second opinion too. With that much swelling it does seem like it would be broken. Either way, I hope it feels better soon. Hey Mike, you said you were going pretty slow right? Maybe that was the problem along wioth the wind off that razor coming over.
GraywolfGraphics
not sure i was taking it easy with my little girl and another new rider went up back peddled the throttle pulled the turn break and about half way through the turn to head back down i was eating sand. to top it off i was running in 3rd with only about half boost climbing up... who knows????? But i have to thank everybody again because a friend of ours was seriously hurt today and another friendly duner hauled him back to camp complete with broken arm and nose... I geuss i WAS lucky. The good news is my little girl is ready to go again and the new duner is hooked.
HappyHour
Hey Gray---- I have had a lot, I mean alot of broken bones in my short 36 years of life. Believe it or not, sprains or strains of muscles, ligaments, tendons, etc. do tend to swell up more than a broken bone would. Your Dr. is probably right in telling you that it is not broken. Speaking from experience, my suggestion to you is to go see an Orthopedic Dr. for your 2nd opinion. They are the bone specialists. My thought is that if you have an questions, or feel like you need a 2nd opinion.........by all means get one. Hope your wrist feels better soon and this is just my $.02..............
