gsxrmomof2
I was curious if anyone has ever deep pitted their turkey in the sand? If so, do you have any suggestions??? Thank you!!!

Ross and Alice
That method sounds interesting. Ya have a good chance of a sandstorm or brutal rains,, and that would mess up you operation real quick I would guess but worth a try. At the dunes it's usually: The Peanut oil fryers (oil and fryer avail cheap at Home Depot) or: Some families get the ready made dinner at the grocery store and bring it or: Turkey breast because it's all that will fit in an tiny RV oven. Pre-cook everything at home and warm and serve at the dunes. Go to the T day Buffet at Stateline or Parump. My neighbor used to cook a pig in the ground in his back yard on his wifes birthday that was great.
Resident^Blonde
If we have a motor home then I think im gonna buy a turkey roaster and just plug it in. If not then we are going to Trona (outside of ridgecrest) for turkey day dinner then head out to dumont. Although the turkey pit sounds kinda yummy, But my luck I would fuk it up lol
