zoom-zoom-Suze
Suze, Just to clarify, please note that Honda did not *donate* to this event -- they did actually *buy* advertising for their hybrid vehicles at our event. You may want to talk to their marketing department...but I am not sure what you are looking for from them. Happy holidays! Johanna

Mr. Edgy
How many of you wear a "Camel Bak" when you ride? They also are a big supporter of the Sierra Club. You would be surprised to find how many manufacturers are sponsers.(It helps shield them from scrutiny) The best way to protest these sponsorships is not to advertise the products they manufacture. Remove labels and logos. If someone asks what or why, you now have a platform to explain it. Edited December 23, 2006 by mredgy
barefoot bob
i still think its prudent to tell them why and let them know its unacceptable.
jackxclan
their hyping the hybred car so what. ya think they could go to a exxon convention and sell their hybred. honda has many divs. so what the hell is wrong with hyping a hybred. KawasakiBob
Yes correct, Camelback products donates to the Sierra Club as well, along with quite a few other companies. It's truly sad that companies that make money off of the riders like us use it to donate to clubs that are hell-bent on shutting down our riding areas. As for Honda, call any of the dealerships and they should have the Honda customer realtions phone number for ya. Remove labels and logos. If someone asks what or why, you now have a platform to explain it. That is EXACTLY why I bought a no-name hydration system. i still think its prudent to tell them why and let them know its unacceptable. And I call that 310 area code # EVERY BUSINESS DAY, and unload on whoever listens. their hyping the hybred car so what. ya think they could go to a exxon convention and sell their hybred. honda has many divs. so what the hell is wrong with hyping a hybred. They are hyping their hybrid car, at our expense. Where do you think almost EVERY nickel goes that the Sierra Club gets? To attempt to close riding areas like dumont. look at glamis and oceano. They have already been hit hard. Oceano used to be 15,000 acres of riding area...now down to 1500 acres...1500 acres. the old saying goes something like this...... when they came for oceano, no one spoke up when they came for glamis, no one spoke up when they came for Dumont, no one WAS LEFT to speak up as duners, we have to be pro-active, not reactive. just my .
