dunefreak Posted January 16, 2007 Share Posted January 16, 2007 If you own a business or know anyone who does, please spread the word that Friends of Dumont Dunes is looking for help with getting donated prizes for the 5th annual Dumont Dunes Cleanup on March 17th. Here are just some some of the raffle drawing prizes from last year's cleanup... -chest protector, (2) 5 gal VP fuel donated by Matt @ S&M Motorsports (aka sandm here on DDR) -set of PIAA lights donated by The Custom Shop (3rotortrav) -RV mat donated by Johnnie Walker RV if I remember right -t-shirts, hats, etc -Tire Fys, blinky whip lights, etc -ATV parts -gift cards -a few nights hotel accomodations donated by the Orleans Hotel/ Casino -and many more I can't remember Any business that donates to the cleanup will be credited by having there name announced when the prize is raffled off. Any and all help is much appreciated. If you have anything that you can donate to this years cleanup, please PM or e-mail ynot (Terry, V.P. of FoDD) or myself. Also, please spread this word to businesses or to friends of yours that might want to help out for a good cause and also get recognition for their businesses. Let's all try and pull together, network, and try and make this cleanup the best one ever! It's all about our favorite place, Dumont. Thanks everyone! Just let me know. I understand though. Don't forget anything anyone can do, even as individuals, is appreciated. I ,personally, was thinking of picking up a few little things at an ATV shop and also donating some DDR gear (stickers, hats, shirts) also. I will need to get these things over to ynot (Terry) before the cleanup so next time I see everyone (maybe at Dumont) try and get the items to me or Terry. The more items we can all raise, the more incentive for people to come out and help, the more trash gets picked up, and the bigger the group of people we have to show the BLM and other groups that we care about Dumont and we aren't there to trash the place. Then please contact me and let me know so that I don't go out and hit on them again. We don't want to be a pain in the azz to our contributors. We will also have space available on the back of the t shirts for business sponserships. If you have someone interested please contact me directly so I can get price and art work arranged. Visit the Friends of Dumont Dunes for more information on the cleanup and a link to the flyer. Anyone visiting shops seeking donations might want to print out a stack to take with them. SailAway Posted January 19, 2007 Share Posted January 19, 2007 I'm sure that would be one of the more popular prizes! Here's what we do with the raffle prizes at the Dumont cleanup... We label coffee cans with the name of each prize and then the dune users get to pick and choose which prize they want to "go for." You can put all your raffle tickets in one bucket or spread them out. We already have separate cans for "kid" prizes and any prizes we get that must be for 21 and older, well, we'll just make sure the only people who pick up that prize can produce their I.D. when they do. If I can donate being unemployed for 3 months, I would hope all of you can. If all the regulars donated just $5, that would be a huge contribution DDR could contribute to our duning passion.
