dunefreak
Well, last weekend me and dunieminkie were blasting across the woops going to comp and smacked a basketball sized rock sitting at the top of one of the woops. :rainbow1: Oops. So now I need some wheels. I want to get some decent (strong) wheels. The spare set I have- one of them got bent went I landed bad and broke my spindle on NewYears weekend. I will probably need 15x4 or 4.5 I think. I am running 15x5.90 implements. Anyone know of the best place to get em for cheap?
EY3BA11
Damn freak your hard on your stuff.. lol.. 2 sets of wheels in 3 weeks.. I have a Hillbilly idea... You have one good wheel from each set... just swap a tire over to get you by until you get new ones..
ynot
Not sure these would work but happened to see them posted on Gd.com http://www.glamisdunes.com/invision/index....showtopic=62242
TCS T
Check with Valley performance (247-1266) for the wheels, then send off to OMF (speak to Bones#951-354-8272) for bead reinforcing!
EY3BA11
Looks like your implements are workin on goin kaput too... Noticing the cracks right around where the bead is..

I think your seeing the tire sealer that seeped out a bit while driving. The tires are still in good shape- still going to use em unless I find a set I like better. Don29palms
I got an idea. Use a big effin hammer and straighten out the old ones. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. Just an idea.
ynot
Pete, not sure of what type wheels you need but this just got posted on glamisdunes.com. VW wheels is that what you need? http://www.glamisdunes.com/invision/index....showtopic=65791
EY3BA11
I dont think SSC supports the Wide 5 pattern or even makes Spindles for them... Im pretty sure Freak is stuck w/ his current style... and as light as his car is this way is no big deal... not heavy enough to put that much force like copper did over on GD.. rcjunky3
how about having your wheels fixed. my pops had an aluminum front vw wheel fixed one time it was bent over far enough that we couldnt get to the lugnut without bending it back. EY3BA11
I have also seen one that bad pounded back to submission and hold air as well.. Block of wood and a BFH did the trick..
Don29palms
One of the wheels on my Banshee got tore up by Daniel. A big hammer, a piece of 2x4 and a little muscle and BAM good as new. dunefreak
Uhh good idea I guess, but I'm just gonna get new ones. Thanks guys. :shocked2: :mc_smiley:
lvnalolife
I really don't think a hammer will help him. The rim is toast. I wonder if the shine shop or someone else can fix it?
dunefreak
I'm getting new ones regardless. It's gonna cost just as much or barley more for a new one than it will cost to get that thing fixed. :mc_smiley:
