seibelduner
i have an 89 banshee, when in high rpms it starts cutten out i think it could be the coil or the stater or somthen but i am not sure ..does any body happen to have any advice?? thanks
dunefreak
Does it cut out slowly like it's running out of fuel or does it cut out quickly like an ignition problem?
seibelduner
Does it cut out slowly like it's running out of fuel or does it cut out quickly like an ignition problem? ya like an ignition problem @ high rpms
dunefreak
I'd try a coil first. See if someone else has one that you could just throw on there to try before you go spend $$ on one though.
northphelan
take the stator cover off and check the clearance between the pulser and the flywheel.that's where i would start.
sanddunesaddict
Any recent changes to the bike? Could be too lean or a broken plug wire.

EY3BA11
Look at the mods and how he jetted it.. if he added K&N's and Pipes and dropped a jet from stock it would be leaner... or am i thinking too much into this...
sanddunesaddict
He said it cuts out like ignition, not fuel. Fuel will do it too..just like Mikes bike remember. Too lean it will pop and sputter, too fat it will pop and sputter also. Funky intake like Mikes =really screwed up. Magnets could be broken on flywheel. SofaKing
i would never buy a raptor i dont think its worth it Have you ever ridden a 700 R, it ain't your mothers 660. Also it's probably the coil, but check the plug wire ends, & the elect. control module.
