dunefreak
All in all it was a great trip. The weather was about the same as 2 weeks ago when we went. It got up to about 100 degrees by noon. There was a nice breeze that kept things cool. Steveo & I pulled in about 6 am. The sand was smooth as hell (of course). There were a few big semi-trucks out there parked near vendor row area. We saw some EZ-UPs and cones set up in the back behind comp too. I thought that was kinda wierd. I guess they were filming something out there. We got some really fast rides in. We played bumper quads in 5th gear. It felt good to do that again. I had enough after the 1st two or three Pastrana rides though. The last ride was a nice easy ride back though. There were some giant tractor tracks and holes dug past bathroom 7 near the dunes. I think it was from recovering the sandrail 2 weeks ago that crashed out there. Those craters took me by suprise when I came up on them a lil fast. :ahhhhh: The entrance road still sucks bad, but there was some heavy equipment out there so maybe they'll start on the road soon. Neither ISBB or stalteri920 showed. Nobody crashed but there were some close calls! It was great to get to finally ride with my buddy, Brice and some of his friends. Great to see everyone out there. I had a blast. Pics to come....

superdave
man it was great to get out again. i was really impressed with the way the kfx 700 duned although i still like my banshee. i was flying solo and that was way cool. all my stuff was in my garage in pahrump so i went out saturday night and loaded up, went to terribles lakeside casino and ate dinner, played a little poker and some beer and won a 100 bucks went to bed in my motor home there about ten thinkin im in good shape. didnt count on the damn dogs across the street to carry on all night. then the peacocks figured they would chime in when the dogs were quiet. sound like a giant cat, meeeeeeowwww. f*ckers. then out of the blue when i was almost asleep a gust of wind i guess rocked the motorhome. that kinda freaked me out. it was calm as hell all night. i was worried about those silly pahrumpians messin with me. i was glad as hell when the alarm went off and it was time to head to dumont. off weekends are the sh*t. i dont care how hot it is. wsky70
What a day, and night, DDR was well represented today for sure. Lot's of peeps came out for the ride. It was a great time. Got there about 6pm yesterday and rode until late with dman and donnie. Had a great time. We were on our way back to camp to get some shut eye about 1230 or so, arrived in camp and Chris and Julie was there ready to have fun. Stayed up the entire night.... I was feeling it later in the morning. The 1st dune ride was the best, we took off from camp with 16 riders, wish I had helmet cam. I was toward the end of the line and the view was great, seeing that long line of riders falling over the razor's and covering both sides of the dune. You would have had to see it... The sleep monster was kicking my a$$ about 11 and I had to pull out. Hit Baker and just pulled over and crashed out for a couple hours in the Valero parking lot, I was hurting. Was good seeing and hanging out with everyone again, We'll do it all over again on the 23rd. Here's some more pics from the activities....Semper Fi, Woody Got Pete coming in this time:

Woke up when Pete and Steveo got in. The sand was beautiful and the razors were SHARP! I managed to get stuck on one! It took a good 10 mins to get out. Well we had a blast. My son didn't feel too hot, kept getting sick but all is fine now. We had some good rides in. Dman and me were in our rails. Can't wait to do it again. Good times! CaptNkllm
My wife and i arrived fri at about 9pm. Unloaded and went for a ride fri night. Nice and dark. My bro-inlaw and his new wife arrived about 11pm and we went for another ride(it was her 1st time out ever) i think we created a monster. Those tractor trailers where there filming a jeep commercial and that hole in the ground by turd #7 is from them for there filming. Tractors up front are from them also. The road FriGGiN suks arse. 8 to 12 mph max. Sand smooth as silk. Dman you didnt come over and say high at all over the weekend????? i am not feeling the love man . Razors sharp and steep for sho. Hot and i mean HOT. All in all we had a great time, relaxed and slept part of the hot afternoons and rode a bit. If you drove past the semi trailers and kept going straight and to your left a bit i was about 600' from them, i havethe raptor trailer with the GMC truck (if anyone cares lol). I think i seen you Dman out on sat runnin around comp and banshee about dusk on sat. Didnt know it was you.. was that Donnie from school? On the way back 2 trucks past me on the road out and i was laughing watching them bounce appart. So hi to the guys in the trucks 1 with a flat bed and 1 with the hauler we played leap frog up to the pahrump turn off( had to let them pass me 3 times) i think the drank alot and had to pull over to drain the radiator . Cant wait for the night drags. Capt Edited June 12, 2007 by CaptNkllm
