Midknight Posted February 13, 2006 Share Posted February 13, 2006 hey im obviously selling my two quads and buying a new one. well my plan is to buy a raptor 700. with a couple extras on it. like paddles, nerfs, new pipes, ect. and i wanna hear what people have to say about it. possitives and negatives. dunefreak Posted February 13, 2006 Share Posted February 13, 2006 I personally haven't ridden one yet, but plan on riding my buddies soon and maybe buying one too. I think they are a great bike from what I have heard. If you wanna go hit the hill and race people, don't buy one. But if you want an excellent dune machine and all around bike I think they are perfect. And like rhino king said- it's a Yamaha- you can't go wrong. I have a 660 Raptor and really like it. BIG DAVE XP1K Posted February 13, 2006 Share Posted February 13, 2006 I ride a 01 raptor punched out to a 686 which is what the 700 truly is and for ease of ridding withall the power/tork you could possibly want the raptor is a great machine. I would also like to add that I also have a yfz 450 and a banshee which are a kick in the a$$ to ride, but when I am done riding those two, Im usually pretty exhausted because they are both so squirly fast, its all I can do to hold them down when I am ridding them and I'm a pretty big guy (240 lbs) W/30+ years experience. The raptor on the other handis plenty fast and plenty strong with out all the work. A GREAT DUNE MACHINE. Have fun, Be safe and good luck. SEE YA AT THE DUNES!!!!
