deuce
I own a 2004 yamaha ttr 125 that we use for camping and getting the mail and stuff. We lost the keys and I was wondering if there was a way to bypass the key or would I have to go to yamaha and try and get a new one. I am willing to muscle it to the on position with a screw driver if I thought it would work. If anyone has any advice let me know, it would be greatly appreciated cause I'm assuming that trying to get a new key would be a pain in the a$$. I'm getting tired of walking 4 houses down the street to get the mail. It's hot out.

deuce
look at the bottom of the switch if there are 2 wires... just hook em together I was going to do that after reading your post, but them my eye caught a hammer and flat head screwdriver on the bench. I figure what the hell. If I was going to cut wires anyway I might as well see if I could break it free. Sure enough after the 2nd hit and a little muscle it turned. But thanks anyway for the info. EY3BA11
most of the time there are male and female quick connects attached so all you would have to do is unplug them from the harness and plug them together... DOH!! ruined a good switch.

deuce
Oh well, I thought I had to cut the wires and connect them. I figure what the hell it's embarassing enough to ride that little thing anyway, why not make it look like I stole it and start it with a screwdriver. Anyway thanks again for the info, at least if I lose key to the raptor or something I can fix it the white way. I mean the right way. And once again Edited July 11, 2007 by deuce
