Richard Cheese Posted July 31, 2007 Share Posted July 31, 2007 One thing I have noticed about in the dunes (aka flatbillers) is that when "the man", or rangers show up, the :freakin_nuts: seems to cease. Case in point:...this last weekend, while I had my father in law and my son in the farm equipment, attempting to show my FIL a good time, some were jumping with no spotter. normally, I don't get upset about it, but it just so happened that one of the jumpers came over a dune without warning, and landed about 10 ft to the side of me. 10 feet further to my right, and that would have landed on my hood and my rollcage with my son and my FIL with me, I go over to the group, point out the obvious, recommend a spotter, say thanks, and take off. On the way back to camp, I decided to see what those decided to do...well, they did absolutely nothing. I dropped off FIL and son, and found the closest ranger. I informed the ranger about what happened, and he asked if I could take him to the group. I roll out there, with ranger in tow, (not my farm equipment, but a real ranger) and take him directly to the group, who is still there, and still jumping sans a spotter :fro: The ranger then witnesses one of the group come damn close to a kid and his mom. The guys start arguing with the ranger, and the ranger said EFFE IT.....and revoked their camping reservations, and personally escorted them out of the riding area (took about 2 hours, and the clowns were camped about 5 camps away, so we got the evil eye and all.) the point to this long winded story??? I think we need more enforcement in our riding areas. no tolerance for disregard of ANY of the rules (I also just so happened to camp with the family of the girl that lost her leg in an accident over president's day @ dumont back in FEB) We need like a couple hundred rangers on the big weekends, each writing tickets left and right, kicking out of the riding area....just being straight out hard azzez.....and the word will spread also, I saw a pretty cool thing this last weekend @ the dunes....but again, no pics what I saw was similiar to the above pic, but blank, with the ability to program messages into it. the board had all the rules programmed into it, listed emegency numbers, and were put in high traffic areas (there were 4 that I saw). anyway...my oh and I just found this....thanks pimpshack Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

vegas style Posted July 31, 2007 Share Posted July 31, 2007 as much as the a$$ hats piss me off i dont want a bunch of pissed off leos running all over being hard a$$es. i would be for more leos on bigger weekends if they were there to help enforce the safety issues. but i dont want them rolling around my camp trying to find something to ticket. and if i do screw up i would like the chance to have a warning first. i would just say be carefull what you ask for................ The people I have interacted with, and met off this site are courteous, self-policing, and have the ability to follow rules and regulations..........I don't think you would have a problem with extra LEO's these would be the people that would have a problem with them now that the party is jumpin......with the bass kicked in and the vegas are pumpin!!!!! :rainbow1: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sounds like a flatbiller, HOWEVER, he is a very very respectable kid. Ask anyone who went to Havasu. high octane junkie Posted August 1, 2007 Share Posted August 1, 2007 what i really think is that we should get "i'm not a polluter" bumper stickers put on our vehicles, that way people don't assume pollutants are coming out of our exhausts. we wouldn't wanna contribute to destroying the environment now, would we? this reminds me that i've never publicly expressed my thoughts on the "sierra club" delaying the widening of the 95 freeway in the northwest area of town.. stating widening the freeway would attract more vehicles and thus more environmental contaminants. however, wouldn't more contaminants accumulate sitting in bumper to bumper trafic on a narow freeway opposed to freely moving traffic on a wider freeway? i dunno.. cubs are winnin'. yayee! Does that mean i ride like a maniac and dont listen to rules?? :porn: Does the fact that i wear a flat billed hat mean that im an idiot, and since i wear one i cant put this smiley ?? i would like to know what your definition of a flat biller is... you can do whatever you want brother.. this is america. to make a long story short, a bunch of folks sailed over here from england and declared this a free country and drafted a constitution with amendmants, first two amendmants as follows: "#1) the right to free speech. #2) right to bear arms.. kinda odd those two being the first two amendmants? probably not. a flat biller = someone who wears a flat-billed ballcap. you don't have to meet any other criteria other than wearing that particular wardrobe accessory in that particular manner. if you see somebody on the street wearing a metro officer uniform.. they're 10 times out of ten a metro officer. if not, they're going to be arrested for attempting to portray a metro officer. got it? this is not debatable. soo.. wearing a flat-billed ballcap, of any brand, makes you a flat-biller. does it make you a maniac? no. does it make you disobey posted rules? no. does it mean you're an idiot? no (but wearing a flat-billed cap and posting flat-billers suck may, unless there's an inside joke involved.) does it make you succeptible to a stereotype? yes. anywho.. considering the newfound commotion i've stumbled into.. what about flat-billers anyway? i seen a couple doods at the river run in laughlin with blue rags on their head, underneath a flat-billed ballcap.. i thought it looked pretty good and they were accompanied by some nice broads. Then we started noticing that whenever we were pissed at someone, they were wearing a flat billed hat. Whatever. And what's with keeping the tags on the hat too? How about we just keep the boxes on our shoes and the plastic hanger on our undies? I don't get it. Like I say, no pants.
