dunefreak
I, myself, said I would be done with the big weekends but the more I wait for dune season to come back around and I look at pics of past holiday weekends I can't help but wanna go back even on the big weekends. I have some pretty damn good memories of dune trips that fall on the holidays. I am definitely looking forward to the season kickoff weekend (Oct 5-7) and then of course Halloween weekend. I plan on doing as many trips as I can afford just like very year, but I don't think I'll be taking much time off work to get out there super early like I used to for weekends like T-day. I guess I'll be playing it by ear. Nothing beats the off-weekends, but I still have to go out for the big fun holiday weekends. I love hanging out and partying with the big groups of good friends that usually gather on big weekends. All I know is my truck isn't going to comp hill at night anymore. I'm done with the BLM & g&d d*&&*?@^*&mn tickets. How bout everyone else? Holiday weekends or no?
EY3BA11
I should be on the "as often as i can make it plan" this year... I have no excuses bike runs good (after a carb cleanin it was gummed up) i have my fridays and saturdays back.. so ill be on the joe duner schedule arrive thurs night leave bright and early sunday or saturday afternoon.. I always have a couple trips planned for glamis the first portion of the season adn dumont there after. So it should be a good season this year. I want to have a dumont season like i did 2 seasons ago.. Sand every weekend for 2 months straight.. and then every other weekend till the season was over. That was a excellent season for me.. I rode ALOT that season and im looking foward to attempting that again to catch up for what i missed this last season.

Christmas week, when Michael is here. After that as many off weekends that we can possibly go and we should be able to do twice as many as last year, whith only have one vehicle to drive out there instead of two!!! ynot
Off weekends for me. I have no plans(although they are subject to change) to go out on the busy weekends. I have made the decision after missing the big weekends last year that I didn't miss much and didn't mind at all that I wasn't there for them. That's a first for me. My family had no idea who I was at Thanksgiving dinner since I hadn't been home for T-day in 12 years. I want to ride, relax and enjoy the dunes with friends and family not deal with idiots, pit racers and other pains in the a$$ that make the holiday weekends stressful, dusty and just not worth it. So at this point I am staying home those weekends and going out when all the num nuts are fixing their stuff.

YamaPimp
I will go out every other weekend and all the big weekends as well but with a few trips to sand hollow.

So at this point I am staying home those weekends and going out when all the num nuts are fixing their stuff. I am with you too Terry, but I also like go out and people watch on the big weekends. I think comp hill is fun as hell to watch when there is a big crowd and lots of good races with the high dollar rails. I also enjoy checking out all the different types of toys that seem to show up on the big weekends- everything from home made off-the-wall-crap to $130K+ rails and race trucks. I don't know- I still love the atmosphere and can't get away from it as much as I end up bitching about camp racers speeding & riding wheelies past camp :porn: , the safety hazards from the huge number of so many duners in one place, the BLM not enforcing rebar and stupid caution tape, etc. etc. . Every big weekend I still get that feeling like when I went out to Dumont on my 1st holiday weekend. :worthless_without_pics: Maybe a few more years I will grow out of it, but it seems to be in my blood. Don29palms
I'm going to go out as many times as I can. When I go to use my credit card and the screen replies NO EFFIN WAY then I'll have to stay home. I'm good to go just let me know when. JoeDuner
I am planing on Kick-off weekend, and them everyother weekends after that. If the holiday weekends doesn't fall in that schedule then I will have to double up and do 2 in a row. I take every other Sunday off work so, all my trips are 3 dayers. :worthless_without_pics:

Luvdunes
Depends on $$$$. Our 1st trip should be Halloween. Know it is crowed on holiday weekends but can't beat the excitement!

sandahauler
Last T-Day was my first and only time to Dumont. I had a great time and hope to head out your way again. The ride following Pete around was a blast. btw, I finally got my rail painted. It's hard for me to travel the long distances when LS is only 90 miles from my house and St. Anthony is about 4.5 hours away. Each year I have been going to at least one new dune destination but now they are getting farther away so that might slow down. I have been to Coral Pink but not ridden so that will be my next "new spot" to visit. I like the big weekends. We do about 20 dune trips a year. the pic is last weekend at little sahara Edited September 8, 2007 by sandahauler

indasand
I'm always riding somewhere... I really need to get my kids used to 2 wheels in the sand so maybe more off weekends. But Halloween and Pres day I'm always in Dumont. T-day is to family orientated for me to get away but I wish I could.
