SandBox_Kid
What do you guys use to tighten your rear paddles down? I saw a guy who had a standard 4 way lug wrench like this...... ....but one of the ends was loooooong enough to fit into the rear rim and get to the lugs, and it wasn't custom made. I have had no luck finding one and was wondering what everyone else used to torque the lugs down in the deep rims.

bp-guy
yep, impact with long extension then a ratchet wrench to hand tighten for saftey verification.
Randog
Impact to remove, Small breaker bar to tighten. 1/2" breaker bar with an extension and a 13/16" deep socket to do the final torque down. Then it's :fro: Then Then
wingnut
I went the cheap way. I used a modified 4 way. I cut the one that i used and welded in an extension!

ahsumtoy
My Gearbox has a compressor on it so I use my air impact. But once I use it to tighten them, I use a 10" extension on my torgue wrench to make sure they are all torgued the same.

Don29palms
The best way to haul your car with the paddles on is to put them on backwards and then when you get to your destination change them back to the right way but don't for get to turn them around before you put your car back in the trailer. Don29palms
Sarcasm at it's finest. But seriously, rubber flexes and it won't hurt your paddles when towing in or on a trailer. I have heard it is recommended to put the car on jackstands or remove the paddles if the car is being stored for long periods.

ahsumtoy
The reason I have to change my tires is because my hauler is 98" wide at the door. My rail is 99" in the rear. So I have other tires to put on for hauling. Also, my front end is 88" wide. With both my sofa and table up, I only have 84" and I don't want to take the sofa or the table off the wall - I just got old VW 5 hole wheels and put on 135x15 tires on and that gave me another 5 inches. The short of all this is my rail is too wide for my hauler so I have to change tires. Someday, when I have more money, I'll get a stacker with a motorhome, but for now....
