wilson
Just wondering if anyone knows where and if I can rent this tool? I don't really want to buy it for a 115 bucks for one use. And if i can't rent it are there any suggestions for another way to release the tension on the torsion bar. I tried a regular c clamp, worked to get the stock key off, but putting the other key on all it did was bend the hell out of it. Oh buy the way I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD, Not sure if that info is needed, just gave it just in case. Thanks for the help. dunefreak
Whatever you do- do NOT use a regular C-clamp. That can be very dangerous. :porn: We have one at our shop, but I can not lend it out because it is property of the dealership. Sorry. Have you tried Checker or Auto Zone? Sometimes they have specialty tools for rent. Sorry, I don't know of any other way to get the torsion compressed in a safe way other than using the special tool.
