CaptNkllm
I no longer have any vinyl stickers (like the windshield ones) on hand. Those are all handled through J&J Vinyl now. You can purchase them online and he will ship them to you. The link is at the bottom of the page in the DDR Store. I will have some of the full color logo stickers with me though! I'll hook you up. not a problem i will order from him and see you next week on the stickers Capt
SandBlasted
I'd prefer to see them gone all together. I just liked the Dumont of 15-20 years ago before it became commercialized and started drawing in all of the knuckleheads. There are lots of knuckle heads out there, what does the vendors have to do with it? It makes my day when someone tells me thanks for saving the weekend when we have a part they need. I try and support the vendors whenever I can because they make my life easier when I'm in need of something out there.
sMitty
I liked vendor's row exactly where it was at. That mini-mall was just as much a part of the landscaping as the dunes were!!! Change =
SandBlasted
Exactly. I try and support the vendors whenever I can because they make my life easier when I'm in need of something out there. Thank you. We have made quite a few friends out there. Some say they always come by to see what we have and say hi. We know there are knuckle head venders out there, some of the prices they charge for somethings are excessive. We charge pretty much the same prices out at the dunes that we charge in our store with a few exceptions like the small items plugs oil etc. We charge retail for those items. A few items are over retail as we have to pay retail for them, like nuts and bolts. People always need nuts bolts and screws. I go shopping for items we can't get thru out suppliers, electrical items, like automobile fuses, wire, butt connectors. A supply of o-rings and hose clamps, generator plugs -etc. Stuff like that is a loser as far a making money on, but it's nice when you can get someone home. I liked it also. It was nice being close so when we get a little break I can say to the ol' lady... be right back gotta take a ride. We'll be happy in the back country I'm sure. SandBlasted
Have to have the Vendors, thats my whole wardrobe! Minus the thongs of course. When we 1st opened our store, one of our distributers talked us into carrying his "Die Faster" line of clothing. Well lets just say it was NOT a real big hit. Our 1st year out at dumont we took what we had left. On the front of the thong was "die faster" Buy a spark plug get a free thong or t-shirt or... Everyone makes business mistakes, right? :mc_smiley:
barefoot bob
someone should vend buggy parts dog house is still just selling vw stuff. if i tear a cv boot and i gont have a spare im screwed. or 934 cvs or spark plugs foul. but dont get me wrong doghouse has saved my weekend a few times. i can see the vendors selling above retail. packing, driving, fuel, camping ,vendor permits. however i think they somtimes get carried away an extra 20% or 30% maybe but somtimes there prices jump way over that. :mc_smiley:

Yep, I agree. He carries alot of stuff, but it is all old school stuff. He could make alot of extra cash ot there if he carried some other "newer" rail parts. He has helped me out with some general stuff in the past though.

We have thought about the CV Joints and boots, I just don't know exactly what to carry. I asked one of my suppliers and he told me everything is different. If someone lets me know what is needed I'll try and get some stock.

Doghouse
Doghouse sells all the cv's and all the boots common to sand rails. I stock them all in the trlr. If you don't come by to ask what I have, how can you say in all fairness I don't have it? To see all that Doghouse sells go to our website doghouserepair.com I carry over $50,000 in inventory in our Store On Wheels. Naturally I can't carry everything everybody needs, but if I'm asked for something a few times, I usually acquire it for the next trip out.
