GGZOBZ
Both my brother and I are shopping for long travel kits for out Rhino's (mine 2006, his 2007). We are trying to figure out which kits to buy and what should be included in them. At the moment, I am leaning toward the Fab Tech kit for around $5,000. He is looking at the So Cal Kit with added Gorilla Axles, Elka Shocks. Honestly, we are a little puzzled and want the best kits for the least amount of money (DUH). Also, is there anything that we need additional that the kit seller might forget to mention or might save us time or more realistically, DOWN time. Thanks for the help in advance. Gazlay43
Whatever you do, don't go with fabtech...... just not made for rhinos IMO heres a bunch of good kits you can look at, the 1st one is the cheapest http://www.xtrememf.com/shop/index.php?mai...f230fe6a5b87314 http://www.longtravelrhino.com/store/index...amp;productId=2 http://www.demonfabrication.com/main.htm http://rhinocrap.com/v5b/store.htm (has a few different kits) http://www.masonmotorsports.com/photo_album2.0.html http://www.dragonfireracing.com/item--Yama...longtravel.html Now personally, my favorite is the Mason setup because of the square steel plate a arms. These are all very nice kits and you wouldn't be disappointed with any of these kits. I'm sure theres a lot more kits I forgot to list, but these are just a few I've been looking into. You can find a lot of feedback on places like Rhinoforums.net or Sidexsideforum.com Edited October 31, 2007 by Gazlay43

beau
After a couple months of research I believe the best kit on the market right now is the HCR Racing A-arms with fox shocks and as far as axles goes if you aren't racing just longer shafts is perfectly fine. Hi Dezert Motorsports is a dealer for them and put together a kit for under 6 grand. Call Paul at HDF 760-937-2885 and the site for HCR is clicky HCR Racingm/ I just put the kit on my Rhino and it is awesome. Superstrong and rides great, I think the only change i might make is going with dual rate springs if they make some short enough.
ricepow
Here's mine with the XMF kit. It uses Walker Evans shocks. Pretty happy with it so far. The owner of the shop that I bought this kit from had the Fabtech kit on his and said he would not recommend that kit to anyone. He said the best thing about their kit is the detailed instructions. I would have to agree, I used their instructions to learn how to install the axles. Anyway, here's the pics.
OGP
DO NOT get the walker evans shocks. They suck. My buddy races his rhino and is sponsored by walker evans shocks and he doesnt even run them on his play rhino, AND HE GETS THEM FREE. RRC
I went with the LongTravel Rhino kit after a long while of research. Very good kit, I have pounded it in every way possible and havent had one issue in over a year!
SDShop
I also run the LongTravelRhino kit and have not had any problems. Lone Star also has a great kit

Hmm, I dunno, I'm pretty happy with mine so far, and I have heard from a few other people that have the same kit and are very pleased with it also. It's much much better than stock, thats for sure. Maybe your buddies long travel was designed to use different shocks and thats why the Walkers didn't work out for him. Most manufacturers/dealers will tell you to make sure you go with the shocks that they used in designing their kit and not to mix and match.
