Randog
My girlfriend and I have an 04' YFZ450. The throttle is a little stiffer than we'd like it to be. We want to keep the thumb. Don't want a Twist. I bought a softer spring on Ebay to put in the carb. Supposed to reduce the resistance 30% min. I haven't put it in yet, but I have a couple questions. Can I remove the 'Throttle override system' (TORS) on this quad? Do people take the TORS off when they put a twist on theirs? Then I could take out the spring in the thumb box to soften it up even more. I remember removing it from my 87' Banshee years ago. Any Help is way appreciated. Thanks, R-
powerhouse
that one only has a throttle position sensor , no tors , just put a longer thumb arm on it !!

BHenry
You can relocate the pick up position for the cable at the carb end. Check yfzcentral.com for the how to. I did this to mine, and its like butter, and better yet, it was free!
Randog
This weekend I did the following: 1. Replaced the 'in carb' spring with the lighter Ebay one. 2. Spliced the TORS wires at the bike harness. 3. Removed the 'in thumb throttle' spring. 4. Repositioned the thumb throttle. Seems a lot softer. We'll see the next time out. Haven't received the Cascade lever yet, but if it's needed I'll put that on too. Thanks to everyone for sharing their knowledge. R-
