Randog
Dumont made the front page of our local news paper yesterday. As I started reading it I was getting worried that they were going to bash the crap out of our D. But suprisingly NOT. There was some issues like carelessness and bad behavior. They interviewed one guy from Rancho Cucamonga that has been going to D at least 15years. He had nothing but Great things to say. He shared how D is a family place. Also Larry Blaine from the BLM added many comments about how D IS under control. He said this is NO Glamis. and they encourage families to D. He talked about the fees paying for the toilets, police, medical crew, and permanent improvements. Also that the North Pole tradition started perhaps 30years ago. Maybe when Pete was born. Another interview of a lady from Pleasanton shares how they cooked 5 turkeys for 18hours in the sand at little D. Overall it was a positive aritcle. I'm glad to see that for sure. Edited November 27, 2007 by Randog
