Could I clean the connections/USB with some contact cleaner or something? Mine did the exact same thing. It was the av type cable that pluged into the back of the sub. I had to take it off and tweak it a little with a pair of pliers to get it to work right. Play some music and move all the sound cables around untill you hear it making that noise again then you know where the bad connection is.
