Sandpirates2
Was just wondering is anyone had site information for "Valley of Fire" I heard from a guy while flying back home that he rides "Dunes" in the Valley of Fire. Never heard of it, so I just thought I'd ask the other locals.....
indasand
Inside the park you CANNOT go offroad at all. Most of the surrounding area is reservation or Lake Mead. I'm not sure of any riding up there at all....
Sandpirates2
Yeah OK, that what I had thought, but this guy was just pushing on how he always rides "Dunes" out there......I've never heard anyone here talk about it, but just thought I'd ask.... Thanks
indasand
Sounds like that guy was talking about Logandale Trails. It's an area N. W. of Valley of Fire and is not a fee area. The boy scouts created the mapped trail system and take care of the area. There's a bit of sand there but I don't bring the paddles cause theres a lot more rock than sand

dirtprincess
Must be Logandale trails. Day trips and overnighters for me. I even did X-mas out there a few yrs ago. Great spot for trail riding, not too much on the dunes though. Wonderful spot for 4x4ing. Beautiful spot, close by.

Thanks Don't get me wrong it is very beautiful especially if you like to go on hikes and/or have a family you can explore with. The loop is half rock half sand with great scenery the whole way.... If you have never been it is at least worth the trip to make up your own mind. Go with someone that can show you around a bit. And Valley of Fire opened a full hook up camping area if you like to have relaxing/quit trips... about $14.00 a night I think
