dunefreak Posted March 30, 2008 Share Posted March 30, 2008 We headed out to the Mint 400 to Pit A area to help recovering broke azz race cars today. Good times. Pauly Paul, Angela (fmflover), her cousin, wingnut, and crasher were all out there since early that AM. I think me and Anna got there about noon. Good times mobbin our half tons through the desert. :shocked2: Pauly rescued a BUNCH of cars before we got there. When I showed up we found a car that was broke down that needed a jump and we helped him out. After that we helped a guy out at the checkpoint the that superdave was working. I think the guy lost 1st gear and needed a push to get going. After all that we mostly spectated and threw back alot of cold ones at Pit A. :chug: It was a gorgeous day. wingnut Posted March 30, 2008 Share Posted March 30, 2008 Was a great day, except for getting up at 4:00 AM on a fuggin Saturday!!! It was chilly in the morning but after the wind finally died down it was fine. Pauly's truck was an awesome retrieval vehicle and off roaded like nobody's business....and is "Tough like beef jerky" The morning was good cruising around out there. Then when Freak and Monkie showed up it turned into tailgating in the desert. As usual, we had the normal stupid conversations...............and I learned that bacon filled isn't always a good thing!!!! :shocked2: Good times.....Thanks to Vince and Pauly for getting us out there!!! I was helping out in the pits for the guys from the "other site" They had sponsered a car running in the race and two of them were driver/co drivers! It was fun and nerve wracking all at the same time! Michael was the gas can man and look out guy after the radio communication went out! No injuries and everyone made it out ok, just a little sore! Didn't finish, I guess the silt killed the motor or something like that. But still good times! Great pics as well everyone!! Only going to add one at Cole's request, the others would be pretty much the same as already posted, unless you wanted to see the pit action! Ok wellll.............maybe a couple................
