SandBlasted
I got a link from a customer about a ecological quiz. I took the quiz for amusement. Basically the quiz said If everyone lived like I do, We would need 6.5 planets. (I took the Quiz like I was Al Gore, using Al Gore friendly answers too and he needs 12.5 planets) It was only after taking the quiz like a evowack-nutjob azzhat did I feel the need to cut my throat. If you live like a nut job we will still need 1.1 planets. 1. How often do you eat animal based products? (beef, pork, chicken, fish, eggs, dairy products) Never (vegan) 2. How much of the food that you eat is processed, packaged and not locally grown (from more than 200 miles away)? Very little. Most of the food I eat is unprocessed, unpackaged and locally grown. 3. Compared to people in your neighborhood, how much waste do you generate? Much less 4. How many people live in your household? 3 people 5. What is the size of your home? 500-1000 square feet 6. Which housing type best describes your home? Green-design residence 7. Do you have electricity in your home? Yes, with energy conservation and efficiency 8. On average, how far do you travel on public transportation each week (bus, train, subway or ferry) ? 25-75 miles 9. On average, how far do you go by motorbike each week (as a driver or passenger)? 0 miles 10. On average, how far do you go by car each week (as a driver or passenger)? 0 miles 11. Do you bicycle, walk, or use animal power to get around? Most of the time 12. Approximately how many hours do you spend flying each year? Never fly Quiz Results: IN COMPARISON, THE AVERAGE ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT IN YOUR COUNTRY IS 24 ACRES PER PERSON. WORLDWIDE, THERE EXIST 4.5 BIOLOGICALLY PRODUCTIVE ACRES PER PERSON. IF EVERYONE LIVED LIKE YOU, WE WOULD NEED 1.1 PLANETS. http://www.earthday.net/footprint/info.asp I think I'll fax this over to Google Edited April 3, 2008 by SandBlasted
SandBox_Kid
I would need 4.2 planets... How can they say: IN COMPARISON, THE AVERAGE ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT IN YOUR COUNTRY IS 24 ACRES PER PERSON. When event the smallest footprint I can come up with still needs 1 planet? There was no choice for pygmy cause that's how I live. One with the environment. Seriously though....I think it's waaaaaay skewed.
Sincity_blondie
Im at 5.9 planets! Wow! Drive a big car, eat animal products and processed food, live in a big house. Im killing the planet! Well I guess I better get out to the dunes and stir up some dust while im at it!

We can have a mass throat cutting, but only after we dig the grave by hand, in an open area where no endangered plants or bugs live. (Does that little piece of heaven even exist?) Those of you left, please cover our grave by hand tools, use a flat rock as making steel causes harm. No evil oil powered equipment as we don't want to make the oil companies or George Bush and his cronies any money. In death we don't want to be a burden on mother earth. duniemonkie
I need 6.8 planets!! And thats without it asking me how much electricity and product I put into my hair; I'd probably need 10 planets This quiz is stoooooooooopid
desertskyz
I only need 3.7 planets. They didn't take into account the 2 large dogs I have and the amount of waste they produce. I'd be happy with 3.7 acres. Not sure what they expect us to do. Live in cave, or stick house, grow our own food, kill animals for our meat. Would not be easier to spay or neuter excessive breeders and all the people who don't know "who they babydaddy is." Empty Death Row, run them through like the check out at Albertsons, 3's a crowd. Open up more dunes so we have more places to camp and use less electricity.

Mr. Edgy
Check this site out. http://www.earthship.net I watched the show once. Really cool stuff. I would love to have one built That guy has been designing and building homes out of "trash" for over 30 years. I remember reading or seeing a story about him when I was in middle school. Pretty trick stuff. He is having problems with the counties he builds in at this time. Code enforcement I think!
