Richard Cheese
all of this for PUBLIC SCHOOL DEE DEE DEE Wednesday night dozens of parents braved a chilly night on the sidewalk outside Patriot Elementary. It was all so they could be first in line for kindergarten registration. Outside Patriot Elementary School, dozens of parents watched the sun come up buried under blankets and sleeping bags. Many like Wendy Serda had been waiting since 9 p.m. Wednesday night. Serda said, "My husband and I were driving by to see what the line was like. We drove by about 10:30 and there were quite a few people. So, we ran home packed up our stuff, our heaters, blankets, and an ice chest." Parents think these things are needed for a night spent waiting in line just to register their little ones for kindergarten. The reason is that a limited number of spots for the morning session. Something parents like Rebecca Swanson said is a must have. "It's important that he gets mornings so I can continue to do my job." No matter what the reason for the coveted morning spot, these parents found creative ways to pass the time. One group hooked up a dvd projector and played movie, others tried to get some shut-eye. It's an experience Rosedale Superintendent Jaime Hernandez hopes these parents won't have to go through next year. Superintendent of Rosedale Union School District, Jaime Henderson, said, "What we have coming up in August 2009 to kind of help with this situation. Wo we are going to run what we call an extended day class. A big portion or the day class is to provide childcare for our parents in the past the have not been able.. if they have afternoon kindergarten to have morning childcare." I got there @ 1:45 am and was 20th in line. There were only 40 spots for morning Kindergarten.... um......excuse me, but PUBLIC school is there to SERVE the public. If you have hundreds of people waiting in line in the middle of the night to register for kindergarten with no restrooms or water available to those who were there, then youre not serving the public very well then, are you? :surrender: fuggin s Edited April 11, 2008 by richard cheese

However it is reason 13445523 why not to have babies thanks Ahhhhhhhhh- na !! that was completely jacked up. that crap wouldnt fly @ my school district. We have open enrollment for 3 months DURING NORMAL SCHOOL HOURS....WITH NO LIMITED SPOTS FOR MORING KINDERGARTEN CLASSES. we survey the applications, and then stagger the K teachers as the public needs them...more afternoon requests? more afternoon teachers..... as for reason 34i237483434903 subsection a for not having kids...I felt the same way before I got married. String , mac or whatever were calling him now :surrender: makes the dicision to have kids well worth it. He is a great kid to have, and he understands that the things I do, like duning, baseball, football, education, all of it,,....needs to be passed on to him............. it was once said that a man and woman's crowning glory are grandkids, and I firmly believe that I completely respect your decision, and is not a knock against you, so please don't take it that way

Monkeys on the other and STAY 2-3 years old for AS LONG AS THEY LIVE. I can't imagine having to change diapers for 20 years. They get mean when they get older, they like their group/family but if a stranger shows up, they are going to get bit. Fo So! Me personally, I don't care for either one, and I have two grandsons. The six year old is getting pretty cool thou. I'm going to take him out to the BMX track in BC and get him started.

raptorgirl
I had no idea we had schools here that you "get the choice" to have morning or afternoon classes. Our school bases mornings on whether the parents work or not and are weeded through from there.

I live about 3 miles away from the St. James house, where Moe the chimp lived, and the dude who got his ____ ripped off by the other chimps at the monkey jail. They live on a busy street on the way to the West Covina mall and they used to have a bunch of signs and crap in thier front yard that said "bring Moe home". People used to honk to show support untill it got so bad that the city passed a "No Honking" ordinance only in front of thier house and put "No Honking" signs up in either direction of traffic. I never honked before, but I do now.
