Don't you still plan on getting a small hauler or no? That Jeep looks cool. It all depends on what you are gonna need though I guess. Might wanna just hang on to the Ford for now if you are gonna loose $$ on it. With this economy, think way ahead...thats for sure.

I agree with DF. The truck market is aweful. The dealers are taking 15-20k off new diesels. They probably will offer you below 10k on your truck because of the miles on it, then send it to auction.

Yeah, I'd have to say keep the Ford. Jeeps are not fuel efficient by any means anyways. You might get 14-16 mpg outta that thing.

Like quicksilver said, I see a bunch of people trading in their big trucks for smaller ones and the cost per mile is not that much different. My wife drives a suburban that get worse mileage than my deisel and even when I did the break down on the cost per mile to drive we came out the same. I would look at what a jeep or whatever else costs to drive per mile then do the same with your truck and see if the differece is worth giving up your truck. (fuel cost/MPG = ?)

I love to drive our truck to work. The parking is hard b/c I work in an office that only has compact spots, but I just come in a little early and back the big beast in. I agree....get the wife to drive and you take the compact car. It works great for us. :mc::unsure:

I know for a fact that your wife will NOT drive that thing!!!! Remember I had to drive it to Dumont that time you and Wingnut drove out first?? She refused to drive it!! I tried to get her to several times.

Yeah Cole, you won't get THAT much better gas milage out of that Jeep. Its lifted and that won't help at all. Mine wasn't lifted and I was only getting between 10 - 15 MPG out of her.

Stick with the truck, either that or find something used that is fuel efficient.

Didn't ISBB put something up about a Tracker in gen chat $1700.00?? Probably gone by now, but thats what I would do.

I would never give up my F-250. I own a 2008 Audi and 06 Ford. I drive 130 miles to and from work each day. I drive my wifes old car 1996 Nissan altima 216K miles on the puppy still running. When she blows I will put a rebuild and keep her running. If not i would not own any vechicle and gas comapanies would own me...
