rushjunkie
Want to get a filter-back exhaust for the 08 d-max. The factory system is uglier than Courtney Love after a three day bender... :?: Whats my best bet? Banks system looks pretty good, so does the blacked out RBP, but RBP is pricey.. There was a dude who told me that i can get similar HP results by just cuting the mo-fo a little after the filter and adding a piece bent out toward the curb... just plain crazy... right? dunefreak
My 2 cents for an 08: leave it alone....stock. Those diesel particulate filters are sensative and shouldn't really be messed with. It sucks they are so damn hideous looking.
rushjunkie
i was thinking that messing with the exhaust after the filter should be ok... but i guess the difference in back pressure will mess with it, if it is sensitive. :mischevious: Edited August 18, 2008 by rushjunkie
dunefreak
It's just that GM is VERY picky now with honoring warrantied items on vehicles that have had the exhaust or programming changed. I'd be very hesitant to do anything with them. Sucks for sure.

Our Hummer people hate his azz. :hungry: does changing the indexing keys for the torsion bars mess with any warranties? i definitely need some bigger tires. I have the nicer 17" but the tires are still pizza cutters...
