ltr450rider
So I try not to get too political other than determinig who I am going to vote for (Turd Sandwich or Douchebag ) I am really pissed about this plan our fantastic gov't came up with to supposedly help "The People" in this economic "downturn". They want to print $1 trillion from scratch to buy out bad mortgages that the idiot banks approved. Yeah, that's a great idea for a U.S. dollar that is already way too weak, just flood the economy with more money that you cant back up. Look what happened to Germany after WW II and Iraq when the banks were looted and cash flooded the economy, It took a wheelbarrow full of cash to buy a loaf of bread. I'm no ecnomist but this is the stupidest plan I have ever heard of. You know what, let the banks fail, its thier own damn fault for approving these bad loans. I'm all for the gov't helping out failing businesses to have some control over the economy, but these are large corporations that got greedy and ran thier own companies and our national economy into the dirt, oh well, too bad for you Mr. Big Bank. There are people who just sit around and think all day long about anything and everything and get paid for it, can't these people figure out a better way to help the economy? This is such a bad idea and we are all going to be paying for other peoples greed for the entire next generation. :rant_on: Edited September 25, 2008 by ltr450rider

desertskyz
Keep every dime you can liquid and on hand. this is the worse thing for the economy, but it is better then not have a dime left after your 401k and all the other stock accounts get robbed. I myself have lost a bunch of money on my retirement accounts. I am going to stash cash close at hand and not in the banks. I lost over 10 grand the last time this happen. Richard Cheese
it was the politicians that let this happen on their watch in the first place now they have a 2nd chance to regulate it and let it happen again?? all over?? 1 trillion dumped into the economy is going to raise inflation (econ 101) higher inflation means higher interest rates there are still many peeps out there with adjustable mortgages......its gonna get worse if this plan passes i say let the investors eat their investments.....sh*t aint gonna collapse...it would have already

I mean, were you thinking of where we are today 5 years ago? I'm sure they weren't. Everyone was living good, making and spending expendable money. I say sue the crap out of the people at the banks who approved of these bad loans. They were too busy making a buck for themselves rather than follow the general guidelines of approving loans. They didn't care if they issued a loan to a homebuyer where they knew if the rates went up the homebuyer wouldn't be able to make the payment. That's just plain irresponsibility. The loan officers made money before this fiasco and I think they should be the ones to give some of it back to help fix what they caused. By the way, this statement is in no way intended to offend any loan officers or those of you who manage banks as long as you are running your business in an ethical manner. F*CK the banks and investors, thats a 500,000,000,000 bail out that I am damn sure would spur the economy and it gives the money to the peeps that have to pay it back!!! give the banks 700,000,000,000 and we get NOTHING!!!!!! Plus most folks pay off there mortage which in turn relieves the banks they are willing to lend and leaves everybody with more cash for kids college food etc putting more money in the economy more taxes pays off loan batta baammm Edited September 26, 2008 by White Rhino
MAXDOUT
Quit bailing people out. People signed a contract and were happy to do so. Then when they realize they are f*ckin stupid and can't afford a 300k or 600k mortgage on their 70k a year job..........that's THEIR problem, not the government!!! I say make them stand up to the contract they signed and pay for it...........PERIOD!Its like buying a new car. Your bad!!! The damn thing doesn't hold its value as you drive off the lot. You just lost 30% or more cause you dumb enough to buy new. I guarantee you did not go turn it back to the bank, why would you do it on your f*ckin home??? Yes the loan brokers are to blame as well. But just because someone offers you cake and eat it...DOES NOT mean you have to. There are a lot of people out at the dunes driving very expensive toys, bought buy cashing out on the home they do not own. Cash out refi. Again, 70k or so income, 4-500k home, 40k diesel truck, 40k hauler, 60k rail.......................................... you do the math. I am not saying this pertains to all out there. But you know as well as I do. SAD BUT TRUE. People need to step up to there own commitments!!! Just my 2 cents. fk this bail out. I have never missed a payment in my life, and its not because someone bailed me out. Its called discipline. How about instead of a bailout, bring the troops back from Iraq and fix our own country. make sense becasue its not the people we woud be bailing out!!! its the VERY WEALTHY, THE TOP TIER. Maybe 2% more like 1% in my scenario, Id get $600,000 to do what I want with!!!! Really my plan was slightly flawed, it should only go to home owners, so if you live in an apartment sorry you dont get the 150K per. As this is just to bail out the banks. So my plan average home owning family gets 600K and they use that to pay off there mortage, again using extra cash each month to save, buy stuff again spurring the economy send kids to college, we solved the bank issue as all the bad notes (well at least home owners) there paid, now banks have more money than they have ever had begging first time home buyers to buy at ridicoulous low rates, so even non home owners get someting My plan again only costs less than but no more than $500,000,000,000. and I guarantee it will be paid back faster than there clown bailout........... so who gets screwed in my plan the Donald Trumps of the world.. I say F EMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
